Hollywood Canteen (1944)
Two soldiers are sick and have to spend three nghts at the Hollywood Canteen where a singer, Joan Leslie, gets to kiss one of the soldiers. Then he meets her again at the local farmers market, not knowing that she was going to ask him out on a date. When he finds out he goes on a train to meet with her. But she was nowhere to be found and he felt as if he were punked.
Casablanca (1942)
This iconic film is set in Africa in the early stages of WW2. A man travels to Africa and finds an ex-lover who is in need of help.
It's A Wonderful Life (1946)
A frustrated business man is lacking faith in life. On Christmas night he goes to a bridge and wished that his life was somehow different. Then an angel named Joseph comes down from heaven and shows him a life where he no longer existed.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A girl is convinced a strange man is Santa Clause. He mother doesn't believe her and is a major pessimist. But after the man has nowhere to live, they take him in and the mother starts to believe.
I Walked With A Zombie (1943)
A nurse visits the west indies to take care of a plantation owners daughter, who seems to be suffering from a mental disability. It turns out that she was taken by a voodoo cures and the only way to save her is another voodoo ritual.
Beauty and the Beast (1946)
A woman is taken prisoner by a prince who has fallen under a curse which makes him a hideous beast. She falls in love with him and later breaks the spell which turns him back into a charming prince.
